Cake!

Cressalyn needed to make a cake for the National Junior Honor Society's cake raffle tomorrow. She's never made one all by herself. She chose the details and really did a great job! (There was a bit of maternal assistance in getting the layers to be even...and the side of the cake iced!)
What'd ya think?

Memorial Day Weekend

Wow! This has been a great weekend! Saturday's weather was absolutely gorgeous! What a blessing, due to our baptismal service at Greenwood Falls!
Nora and Tina were baptised! How awesome!

Sunday morning we woke to rain. We changed our focus from outside picnicing to indoor dining. No problem. Just a little bummed about no softball. PK wouldn't let us play indoors!

Then during the worship service we noticed that the rain had stopped and the sun was shining! God blew away the stormy weather and we were able to have our picnic AND games!

God is so good! Church family is so wonderful! Fellowship with believers is a blessed event! Those who weren't with us were greatly missed!

Prom Night

Tonight was Harrisville's Prom Night. Ken and I have long agreed that our kids would be permitted to attend their Junior and Senior proms. Kenny was homeschooled for his. Nathan is a Junior. So he attended his prom as well as being very involved in planning and preparing for it.

I admire Nate for going without a date. He looked sharp in his tux!

Judy's Lists

Things Judy Loves

Double Stuffed Oreos and milk
Contemporary Christian Music
Scrapbooking
Sunny days
Penguins
(I’d say my family, but they aren’t “things!”)

Things Judy Doesn’t Love

Sushi
Bugs
Snakes
Rod Stewart (he’s a special case)
Mice

One of those on the second list has taken up residence in my home. Actually, it appears to be a whole family of those things. Kenny says he heard something this morning. Tonight he says he saw something. Then, I SAW IT! And yet again, Kenny saw another!

Does anyone know how to teach a Lasso/Poodle Mix how to catch mice?

North Country Wildlife

Well, it happened again. Ken was driving. It was dark. And there it was in the middle of the road. He had no where to go. He tried to swerve to avoid hitting it. His family all screamed. And then....thu-dunk.

A porcupine.

Dinner at the Davises

This past Sunday we had 4 teens over for dinner. Added to the 2 who live here all the time, the volume in the house was quite elevated. It was a wonderful sound, though!
One young man around the table is extra special. Our daughter is a bit smitten with him....and he with her.

Pray for her father!

Kenny's Current Look

We, as Kenny's family, need your help. We are trying to determine if we like the current look Kenny has going. Please let us know your opinions...(thereby letting HIM know, too!) We are curious to know what others think!
